Chris White - Theatre Director

 

Chris White is a freelance theatre director and practitioner. He is joint Artistic Director of Presence Theatre(with Simon Usher) and joint Artistic Director of The Foxrock Foundation (with Julio Maria Martino).

 

His most recent production, Hard Places by Farhad Sorabjee played at the Mercury Theatre, Colchester in September 2012 (supported by ACE), then at the Prithvi Theatre, Mumbai, followed by an Indian tour in November 2012.

 

Chris is also an Associate Practitioner and Director for RSC Education and runs the a foundation course in acting  at Goldsmiths College, London, called Certificate in Performance Skills and Theatre Studies, as well as the Directing MA at St Mary's University, Twickenham (with Sarah Esdaile).

 

Chris's other recent work include 40 Years Young at the Young Vic, an original production celebrating 40 years of the theatre, featuring visual art, music, extracts of former shows, and new work by Martin Crimp and Matthew Dunster.

 

Also the Meyer-Whitworth award nominated, sell-out London production of Hannah Khalil's Plan D at the Tristan Bates Theatre, Covent Garden:
